Spread across three characterful floors, The Mill at Ulverston is home to three bars, eight hand-pulled cask ales, fourteen draught lines, a brilliant wine list, a spirit selection to swoon over plus classic cocktails, and plenty of low and no options too. We proudly pour pints from our sister company, Lancaster Brewery, alongside a great mix of local favourites and rotating guest ales.
Our food? It’s the sort you look forward to all day. Think Cumbrian pub classics, seasonal dishes and our famous pies – golden, hearty, and absolutely stuffed. No stingy fillings here – just proper comfort food, done well.
We’ve got plenty of places to perch; settle by the fireside in the Snug, book into the upstairs restaurant (where the old mill machinery still takes centre stage), or grab a seat out on our sun-trap terrace for fresh air and the soothing sounds of the mill race.

Our kitchen team serve up seasonal dishes packed with flavour – from Cumbrian pub classics to plates with a little flair. And if you’re visiting for our famous pies, you’re in for a treat: golden, generously filled and guaranteed to hit the spot.
You can choose to dine on our ground floor in the Snug, where it’s relaxed, cosy and dog friendly. There’s the middle bar too or you can soak up the sunshine on our outdoor terrace – a hidden gem for long lunches and laid-back evenings.
Perhaps you’re looking to book into our upstairs Restaurant space – home to exposed stone, old mill machinery and a touch more formality (but certainly never fussy).

• Fridays & Saturdays | 12-9pm
We invite you to book a table for food if you prefer – but we never turn guests away. If there isn’t a free table when you arrive, grab a drink and let us know you’re waiting - we’ll help you get seated as soon as we can!
